Jim Kelly announces he’s still cancer free

“I feel real good. Just had my MRI and everything came back negative, so far so good.”

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly announced Sunday that he is still cancer free.

Kelly, who appeared on NFL GameDay in an Ole Miss shirt, had extra reason to celebrate: his nephew, Chad Kelly, is the starting quarterback at Ole Miss, which upset No. 2 Alabama for the second year running on Saturday night.

Kelly announced in 2013 that he was undergoing treatment for carcinoma in his jaw. In November, the Pro Football Hall of Famer announced that he had contracted an MRSA infection in his bones, a potentially serious condition.
