MLS player hit a free kick so poorly it looked like a video game glitch

If you’ve ever played a FIFA video game, at some point you probably held one of the buttons a little too long and gave a shot too much power. That same thing happened to Vancouver’s Robert Earnshaw, except it wasn’t in a video game and he launched the ball about 10 rows back into the second level of seats.

You know a shot is way off when it dips out of the TV frame for a second. You can almost hear the Seattle crowd break into laughter it was such a poor effort.

Maybe Earnshaw has his sights set on the NFL and was using the free kick as an opportunity to show off his leg strength for the Seahawks. Yeah, that was probably it.
