Some weird things can happen in a hockey game, but things got really weird for Alexander Semin on Thursday night against the Washington Capitals. He was skating toward the boards to make a play when this happened:

— Stephanie (@myregularface) September 25, 2015 The thing is, there’s no time to stop and yank a stick off your jersey in the middle of play, so you just have to roll with it. And roll with it he did, even though at times it made him look like he was the only guy on the ice with a tail:

Thankfully, Semin was finally able to get himself unstuck by firing off a shot on the other end of the ice, but it was a glorious run while it lasted. Relive his entire two-stick shift here:
