J.J. Watt pays surprise visit to boy in hospital after drive-by shooting

Manuel’s mother spoke to KPRC about Watt’s visit. She said that her son was very sad, but now after Watt -- Manuel’s favorite Texans player -- dropped by, her son’s spirits have been lifted, “now he’s smiling.”
She said the two spent a good amount of time together playing video games, Watt signed autographs and the NFL star encouraged Manuel to “keep fighting.”
His mother added: “[Manuel] said that it’s another life, that God gave him another chance and that he wants to be a football player.”
Per the KPRC report, doctors don’t know when Manuel will get to leave the hospital.
