NASCAR announcers go retro with groovy suits

Darlington Raceway is looking rather retro this weekend for the Southern 500. A few cars are sporting throwback looks from the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s to honor one of the oldest racetracks that has hosted races since 1950. Drivers and crew members are joining in on the fun as well.

So why should the NASCAR on NBC crew miss out on all the fun? Rick Allen, Jeff Burton, and Steve Letarte all sported outfits straight out of the 1970s. Although, Burton and Letarte’s wardrobes look more camp, Rick Allen is rocking the plaid suit like a boss. Groovy, man.
