A couple of days ago this gem of a tweet surfaced showing what appeared to be a Donald Trump “Make America Great” hat in Tom Brady’s locker, just days after Brady was freed from suspension.

— Feitelberg (@FeitsBarstool) September 5, 2015 Today, Michael McCann tweeted that Brady confirmed he does indeed own a Trump hat, and he even tossed in some compliments about the presidential candidate.

Brady said he got the Trump hat through Robert Kraft. "Am I gonna vote for him? That's a good question. Honestly, he's a good friend."
— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) September 8, 2015 A disappointing answer, honestly, seeing as that Trump is a diehard supporter of Brady -- and of his wife, Gisele Bundchen. Back in 2012 when Gisele had some choice words for her husband’s football team after they lost the Super Bowl, Trump had her back:
“She’s standing up for her man and she happened to be right. They were dropping balls all over the place,” Trump told Access Hollywood.“
Dropping balls? In hindsight that seems like weird thing to say since Brady allegedly was deflating balls. And even through Deflategate, Trump stood firmly in favor of Brady, advising him to “sue the hell” out of the NFL.
Trump has also taken a liking to tweeting about Tom Brady, and being sure everyone knows he's a friend. Once saying that Brady is "what our country needs" in 2013.

It’s true that a lot of people have said they would like to be Trump’s running mate, including Hulk Hogan. Trump has said he’d love to have Oprah on his ticket. But the man changes his opinions as the wind blows, so maybe -- maybe -- there’s a chance.
Let’s all Make America Deflate, or wait that’s not right -- make it great! Let’s Make America Great! America definitely needs guys like Trump and Brady on the ballot ... wait, that doesn’t sound right, either.
