Michigan State fans reminded Jim Harbaugh of Michigan’s gutwrenching loss en route to his recruiting sleepover

It’s been almost three months since that fateful game between Michigan State and Michigan, with the mind-blowing fumble-recovery-off-a-botched-punt ending that gave Michigan State the win. Since then, Michigan State made the Playoff and lost to Alabama in the Cotton Bowl, while Michigan beat Florida in the Citrus Bowl -- basically both teams have moved on from that October night, leaving it to be a distant memory. Let bygones be bygones, right?

It was reported on Tuesday that Jim Harbaugh was going to spend some time with top kicker recruit Quinn Nordin by staying over at his house. According to ESPN, Michigan State fans in Nordin’s neighborhood caught wind of this and decided to pull a prank by leaving this banner on a lawn near the recruit’s house:

The publicity surrounding Harbaugh’s unique recruiting ploy gave the neighbors in Rockford, Michigan, (about an hour west of Michigan State’s campus) time to organize a formal greeting for the Wolverines’ coach. This sign was planted in a front lawn near the home Harbaugh was visiting in time for his arrival late Thursday night.

Of course, Jim Harbaugh saw it, and he acknowledged the sign on his way out.

That’s pretty cold-blooded, Michigan State fans, but it also deserves applause. Bravo. Meanwhile, it doesn’t seem to have fazed Nordin, who’s currently on his way to Ann Arbor with Harbaug--wait, don’t you have school, dude?
