During the summer, Alex Rodriguez hit a grand slam and the Yankees Twitter account responded by introducing the #BaeRod hastag to the world. At first, it didn’t really seem like the nickname had stuck other than Michael Kay trying to explain what BAE meant.
Alex Rodriguez posted a pool picture, so a former teammate responded with #BaeRod

Then Phil Hughes, Rodriguez’s former Yankees teammate, brought it back to life.
Rodriguez tweeted a picture of him working out in a pool and Hughes responded perfectly.

#BaeRod should never be used as a serious thing. But, #BaeRod should always be used for jokes. Well done, Phil.
