Karl-Anthony Towns made the best shot of the NBA season and it didn’t even count

Even though the Timberwolves are on the losing end of a powerful Western Conference, there are still some gems to look out for with this young squad. There are still growing pains for everyone such as getting fouled and missing a shot but then there are these glimmers of hope for Wolves fans.

One of these came about on Wednesday. After Ricky Rubio got fouled against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Karl-Anthony Towns was still hustling. Right before the ball was about to touch the court, he scooped it and—with his back facing the rim—flung the basketball. Nothing but net. We’ve heard of playing away from the rim, but this is ridiculous!
