Fenway Park has become a super-hot location. College football games are being played there, the Winter Classic was there -- heck, even Fallout 4 turned Fenway into a post-apocalyptic city. Now the NBA wants in on some of the action and the idea of seeing an outdoor NBA game isn’t as wild as you might think.
The Celtics could play a game outside at Fenway Park, seriously

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens confirmed that he heard the team may be in talks to hold an outdoor game. While team president Rich Gotham said the following:
“Even when Fenway stages certain events, like football games, it just makes it more special for people involved and the fans. I think if you can do it, great. At the same time, my job requires me to be pragmatic, so you’d need to look at the hurdles.”
Those “hurdles” are quite major. Not only would scheduling need to work around the Red Sox’s need for Fenway, but also consider average temperature, wind and other concerns the NBA typically doesn’t need to worry about. In the history of the league only four NBA games have been played outdoors with the most recent game being between the Warriors and Suns in 2009. That game was largely a disaster, with weather causing teams to shoot barely over 40 percent from the field.
Nonetheless, this would be awesome to see. We can only imagine it now ...
