San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York found a clear spot amidst the falling Santa Clara ash to address the media Monday, and took the opportunity to swear he won’t tweet so much anymore, honest.
49ers CEO Jed York promises he won’t tweet so much anymore, seriously

Asked what he’d learned from this season, York echoed the classic adage of our barren modern age: Never Tweet.
“You know, as much as I’d like to share how I feel about the team, it’s not helpful for our club for me to talk about how I feel when we win, how I feel when we lose,” York said. “It’s ultimately a distraction.”
“It’s hard enough to win games in the National Football League. It’s harder when you have somebody that tweets something that’s a distraction to the club, and I can’t do that.”
Asked about Jim Harbaugh’s own Twitter entry -- a not-so-subtle jab at the Niners after head coach Jim Tomsula was fired Sunday -- York grinned.
