Beyonce to join Coldplay for Super Bowl 50 halftime show, according to report

In recent years, Super Bowl halftime shows have been highlighted by guest appearances, and Coldplay made a pretty excellent choice for this year's show. Beyonce will be joining the band for the show, according to Entertainment Tonight:

Presumably, they’ll do a rendition of “Hymn For the Weekend” a song they did for Coldplay’s latest album:

This isn’t the first time Beyonce has made an appearance at the Super Bowl. She was also the headline act for the Super Bowl XLVII show back in 2012. We’re guessing Les Miles is probably impressed by Coldplay’s ability to recruit a five-star talent like Beyonce for their big show:

Granted, I personally still think Kanye makes way more sense for the show, but a Coldplay/Beyonce show (with a hint of Bruno Mars) is a solid fallback option.
