In a sort of real-life thought experiment about the extent to which we’re comfortable with the democratic process, Justin Bieber has thrown his support behind Chris Paul’s bid to play in the All-Star Game.
Justin Bieber’s dark army is disrupting democracy for Chris Paul

Everyone RT this to get my man Chris Paul @cp3 into the All-Star game. #NBAVote @CP3
— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) January 8, 2016 I got u bro. Best guy right here. Chris Paul. @CP3 #NBAVote
— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) January 8, 2016 Since votes are determined via tweets and retweets, Bieber -- who has 73 million followers and whose two tweets endorsing Paul have garnered 32,000 and 24,000 retweets, respectively -- has a lot of weight to throw around. As of Thursday, when the NBA released the results of the second round of All-Star voting, Chris Paul was a distant third in the West guard race behind Russell Westbrook and Stephen Curry. Bieber’s social media heft could very well nudge Paul upward in that race.
The Clippers were pleased, but it’s safe to say that Kyle Lowry, who earned the coveted Bieber endorsement last year, is probably not so enthusiastic.
