Tim Duncan is spending his retirement razzing old teammates with text message jokes

Good one, Tim.

After 19 years in the NBA, Tim Duncan retired this summer. A lot of players immediately jump from playing to coaching or announcing. Basketball is all they’ve known and they need something to fill their time. Duncan hasn’t taken either of those paths, but we finally learned how he is passing the time.

By watching basketball and making jokes at his former teammate’s expense.

Duncan was watching the Spurs game on Thursday where his former teammate Sean Elliott was working on the broadcast team. Duncan texted Elliott to say, “You look like a burnt earthworm with glasses.”

Tim Duncan may not be playing basketball anymore, but he’s still dunking on people.
