Anthony Rizzo was in the right place at the right time to catch this foul ball dropped by David Ross

If this catch is any indication, the Cubs’ unlucky streak may have just ran out.

David Ross was attempting to make a catch in foul territory near the Indians’ dugout. The dugout fencing appeared to get in the way of him actually making the catch, and he bobbled it. Fortunately for him, Anthony Rizzo was there to save the day.

This is verrrry similar to a play from Game 6 of the 1980 World Series involving catcher Bob Boone and first baseman Pete Rose.

And the Phillies went on to win that game and the series.
