Michigan and Rutgers fans share a heartwarming hug after the Knights finally have a good play

Rutgers and Michigan played tonight, and it resulted in one of the biggest beatdowns in college football that we’ve ever seen.

It was brutal, and as you might expect, Jim Harbaugh showed no mercy whatsoever in his destruction of the Scarlet Knights. But out of the carnage came one of the best moments you’ll see in a college football game. Through three quarters, Rutgers had yet to gain a first down. That’s right, not one first down.

But with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter, Rutgers RB Trey Sneed finally, finally made a nice run and gained that first down. Fans cheered. Players celebrated. And the most heartwarming shit happened.

In a show of excellent sportsmanship, a Michigan fan gave a poor, suffering Rutgers fan a big hug. It’s the kind of hug that makes you grateful for what you have. The kind of hug that makes you happy knowing you didn’t blow a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.
