Former Warriors assistant Luke Walton appreciates that Cleveland is on the verge of blowing its own 3-1 lead

Of course he does.

Luke Walton filled in as head coach of the Golden State Warriors for half of last season, and spent the rest as Steve Kerr’s lead assistant. Now, he’s the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, but he was along for the entire ride last year in Golden State, including the now-infamous 3-1 series lead that the Warriors blew against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Well, the shoe is on the other foot for Cleveland. The Chicago Cubs are leading the Indians 6-3 in the eighth inning in Game 7 of the World Series after Cleveland held a 3-1 series lead.

Even if Cleveland does improbably roar back for a comeback and a World Series win, a 3-1 lead will still be blown. Earlier in Game 7, Chicago went up on the Indians 3 runs to 1.
