Some Chiefs players didn’t even believe the Chiefs made the game-winning FG
They definitely weren’t confident.
The Kansas City Chiefs game-winning field goal was downright unbelievable. No seriously, not even Chiefs fans believed that the team would win in overtime. A tie seemed almost imminent as the Broncos missed their 62-yard attempt as overtime was ending.
Not even the Chiefs players believed it. Placeholder and punter Dustin Colquitt couldn’t even stare at the football as Cairo Santos kicked it to the post for the lucky doink. In fact, he doesn’t seem confident that the ball would result in points. That is a facepalm if I’ve ever seen one.
He wasn’t the only one. If you look at the rest of the players, they look like the most conflicted bunch.
They all got to celebrate quickly after that.
