David Ross rode off into the MLB sunset mid-interview on the shoulders of his teammates

David Ross became the Cubs’ unlikely hero in the postseason. When it came time to celebrate, his teammates made sure the 39-year-old got the sendoff of a lifetime.

It was always known that Ross planned to retire following this season, which made winning the World Series sweeter than anyone could imagine. Ross talked about what the team meant to him, and how long-suffering the players and fans had been.

It’s clear the feeling was mutual, because his fellow Cubs wouldn’t even let him walk off the field. Instead they picked him up mid-interview and carried him.

Just perfect.
