Ben Zobrist signed autographs in front of his house the day after the Cubs World Series win

On Thusday, Ben Zobrist was in Chicago, chatting with, and signing autographs for, Cubs fans outside of his house.
There is Zobrist in the dark shirt, standing with a group of fans looking just like a regular neighbor. A neighbor who people are lined up to meet, but still a neighbor. This wasn’t Zobrist quickly slapping a signature on a ball and moving. According to Lauren Niz, Zobrist chatted with the fans individually and thanked them for their support.
Zobrist could be doing about anything in the world to celebrate the World Series. Heck, even resting would have been nice the day after a long game — and longer night — that wrapped up a very long season. No one would have blamed him for ignoring the fans outside of his house and just wanting some privacy. Instead, there he was thanking them for the support and giving each individual time.
Kudos to Zobrist for giving those fans an unforgettable memory to cap off an unforgettable season.
