With three minutes left in the first quarter, Kevin Durant had made just one shot in three attempts in the impossibly hyped matchup against Russell Westbrook. And then Jerami Grant dunked on him.

It wasn’t a vicious, “play the highlight on SportsCenter all week” sort of dunk, to be clear. Just a normal, “I’m dunking the ball and your attempt to block me is too late” jam on Durant.

Durant hit some more shots after that. At halftime, he has 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting. There are 24 minutes left for even more of the same.

Next time, Jerami Grant, just don’t dunk on Durant. It’s for the best.
