Paul George ejected for accidentally kicking the ball into a fan’s face
George quickly apologized.

Paul George will remember this ejection. Typically ejections end with someone livid heading to the locker room over an argument with the referees or with an opposing player.
But Paul George’s ejection seemed to be more of an unfortunate series of events, albeit caused by the Pacers’ star. After a foul, George gently kicked the basketball. From the looks of it, the kick was meant for the stanchion. If that was the case, the ball would have bounced back to him.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and the basketball hit a nearby fan in the face. Officials handed George a technical foul and ejected him from the game. The fan seemed to be fine afterwards, and George apologized for it.
Still, under no circumstances should you kick the basketball during the game — even if its during a dead ball. Stuff like this is bound to happen and no one ends up happy. What a crummy situation.
It was George’s first ejection from an NBA game, too.
After the game, George talked to reporters about the incident. Taking responsibility for the incident, he joked that it was caused by his bad soccer skills.
