Hurdling over the opposing offensive line to block a field goal isn’t a new idea, but it’s being adopted more than ever with the Seattle Seahawks making big plays with linebacker Bobby Wagner and the New England Patriots with linebacker Shea McClellin.
Vikings’ 323-pound Linval Joseph tried and hilariously failed to hurdle long snapper
Linval Joseph isn’t the player who should be hurdling offensive lines to block kicks.

The Minnesota Vikings weren’t as successful when 323-pound defensive tackle Linval Joseph attempted to pull it off.
The play went just as well as you would’ve expected. Joseph didn’t come close to clearing the line and landed right on top of the Indianapolis Colts’ long snapper. Joseph earned a penalty for the play, awarding the Colts with a first down.
Indianapolis took advantage of a second chance in the red zone and scored a 1-yard touchdown with Robert Turbin to take a 10-0 lead.
Maybe leave the hurdling to someone like Anthony Barr next time, Linval.
