Notre Dame’s Matt Farrell gets a surprise visit from his brother back from Afghanistan

This was awesome.

Matt Farrell scored 13 points and dished out seven assists in Notre Dame’s 77-62 win against Colgate on Monday. That was far from the highlight of his night. Instead, Farrell was surprised on the court after the game by his brother, Bo, who returned from deployment in Afghanistan.

At first, Matt thought he was just watching a video Bo had recorded for him. That was a great moment on its own. But the moment became even better when it was revealed Bo was talking from inside the arena. He greeted his brother and their parents on the court to reveal the surprise.

Bo was scheduled to be back home in February. Instead the entire family got to share this wonderful holiday moment.
