It’s Super Bowl media day, so a grown man in a costume interviewed Peyton Manning

It wouldn’t be Super Bowl media day -- or what is now called Super Bowl Opening Night -- without things getting weird. It didn’t take long for things to get a little odd as the first question for Peyton Manning came from a man in a costume.

First there was a joke, or a comment about Manning’s famous “Omaha” audible. Then there was a very important question about Manning family dinner eating habits.

Elsewhere at media day, one outlet tried to teach players how to speak German.

They weren’t the only one with an interesting outfit.

I have no idea what this is.

Someone is looking for fresh powder in the wrong place.

Here are a few other interesting characters, thanks to Cyd Zeigler of Outsports:

Media day may not be during the day anymore, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t going to be weird.
