Cam Newton takes pride in making kids happy, whether it’s giving away footballs or general kindness. We as sports fans often see Newton with a smile on his face; the Super Bowl loss erased that smile.
An 8-year-old made Cam Newton a ‘paper trofy’ to cheer him up

Back in Charlotte, 8-year-old Stephen Graham saw that moment and wanted to cheer up Newton with a letter and a paper trophy. WFMY-TV spoke to Graham about the letter, which said:
“Dear Cam Newton, I am sorry that you lost, but here is a paper trofy.”

The misspelling of “trophy” aside (he totally knows how it’s spelled now, by the way), it’s ultimately the thought that’s most important to him.

“Well, I just felt like it would make him a little happier,” Graham said. Newton’s spent parts of his career cheering up children in various ways. It’s heartwarming to see his fans try to return the favor, whether it’s Graham’s letter and trophy, or the young fan who wanted to give Newton her soccer trophy when the Panthers came home. It’s proof that his kindness is making an impact on them.
