Aaron Gordon’s between-the-legs dunk involved a hoverboard and a mascot

After the first round of the NBA dunk contest, things seemed to be leaning towards defending champion Zach LaVine. But just when things seemed bleak, Aaron Gordon brought his props to save the day.

Gordon asked the Magic mascot, who was already hanging out on a freakin’ hoverboard, to help him out. The mascot stood in the paint, still on the hoverboard, and held the ball on its head. Gordon leapt over the tall green fuzzy, grabbed the basketball, and delivered a between-the-legs jam. Now anything without a mascot and a hoverboard won’t score any higher than a 45.

But despite the dunk and theatrics, Shaq still gave this dunk a 9!
