Manchester United chant new ‘What a Night’ lyrics to cope with their team being awful

Manchester United did not fare well on Thursday, as they lost 2-1 to Midtjylland. United fans let their disappointment be known when, in the tune of The Four Seasons’ “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night),“ they chanted these lyrics:

“Freezing cold on a Thursday night / And we’re playing fucking shite / what a feeling, what a night”

It’s not the first time they’ve done a similar chant; in 2015, United’s website reported that fans made a “new chant” using the Four Seasons tune as the melody, although Reddit users argue that it’s not actually “new.” Still, there’s nothing better than musical gallows humor to cope with your team being bad.
