That play is one of the most beautiful failures I have ever seen. It’s also Lance Stephenson the basketball player in a nutshell. Moments of brilliance surrounded by a series of antics few others could pull off. At times it looks like he is about to pull off a great move Rajon Rondo would be proud of. Then he’s out of control. Then he’s back in control. Then the play ends up with him shooting the ball while basically laying on the court.
The replay is even better. Complete with giggling announcers.
Sure that play might go down as just a missed layup, but to us it’s Lance Stephenson’s masterpiece.
