Allen Iverson was one of the most unstoppable and explosive scorers we've seen in a couple decades, and even he can't comprehend what he's seeing from Stephen Curry most nights. Talking to media at the Sixers' Youth Foundation gala, Iverson told Sixers.com's Brian Seltzer this.

Iverson didn’t hesitate to praise Curry when asked about him recently.
“You know that that guy is here. He’s incredible. He’s different. He’s different. He’s something we’ve never seen. We’ve never seen this. It’s crazy to me, like just me being the biggest Michael Jordan fan, to see somebody come around like this. I have my idea of me being incredible, you know what I mean? But this dude right here, like it’s different. It’s a whole different monster, as far as his handle and the way he shoots? C’mon. You know you ain’t never seen nothing like this.”
AI’s right, of course. Not even the most revolutionary scorers possess Curry’s jump shot, while those with comparable shooting abilities have never had the scoring mentality. It’s cool to see Iverson say it, especially after other former players have refused to acknowledge just how good Curry is for reasons that aren’t clear.
Iverson also dropped into the third person to remind Philadelphia fans that he isn’t walking through that door in the same interview.
“Philadelphia, real fans, you got to be patient, and understand how young these guys are, and know that the potential is there. The talent is there. They’re just young. We got to give them a chance. Allen Iverson isn’t walking through the door tomorrow, the next day, or whatever. We’ve got guys to recognize and understand they’re young, they’re talented and there’s a future for these guys.”
