Praise for Stephen Curry keeps coming as he continues wrapping up what will be a second MVP season. Today, it's Barack Obama, offering about as high of praise as he could for the Warriors superstar.
Michael Jordan fanboy Barack Obama admits Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter he’s ever seen
“Steph Curry is the greatest shooter that I’ve ever seen,” President Obama told TIME. “I am having more fun watching him than anybody since Michael Jordan.”
He wouldn’t quite call him better than Jordan, deferring the answer like any good politician knows how.
“Even Steph wouldn’t necessarily say he’s better than Jordan,” Obama said. “It’s rare where you get somebody who’s already at the pinnacle and then they take it a notch higher.”
Well played, Mr. President. Save the hot takes for after the presidency. Obama's a Chicago Bulls guy anyway, so there might be a little bit of natural bias at play here, too.
You know who else complimented Curry today? Allen Iverson. We’re only like one degree of separation away from AI and Obama becoming best friends and watching Warriors games together now, I think.
