Ramon Sessions had a wide-open layup and somehow blocked himself

I’ve watched this at least a dozen times already. Ramon Sessions is an eight-year NBA veteran! He basically blocked his own shot, somehow. Was he trying to double clutch it? Did he forget to remove his left-hand for a right-handed layup?
Mike Dunleavy was officially credited with a block on the shot, but it sure doesn’t look like his swipe gets a piece of the ball. Along with the Bermuda Triangle and why toast always falls butter side down, this play may go down as one of the Earth’s greatest unsolved mysteries.
