The Rockets’ distraction team took full advantage of Dr. Seuss’ birthday

The Houston Rockets have a well-established history of going to all lengths to distract opponents from shooting free throws successfully. They haven’t quite faked a birth of a fully grown person, but they’ve done some weird things.

Wednesday is Dr. Seuss’ birthday, which meant the Rockets’ distractors were back and in theme.

Not only is there some kind of The Cat in the Hat thing going on, but there is also Thing 1 and Thing 2 running around on the other side.

They broke out some other tactics later in the game.

Ryan Anderson was not phased and made both free throws. Maybe Houston should just go back to having a shirtless male fan dance around with “Big Distraction” stamped on the backside of his shorts.
