The Kansas Jayhawks are set to battle Maryland in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night, but back home, as a tribute, the football team is busy playing Knockout during practice. In full uniform. Like, they stuck a basketball set on the field and played Knockout.
Kansas football players wheeled a basketball hoop onto the field and played ‘Knockout’ in full uniform

Good Luck to @KUHoops tonight! KNOCK OUT the Terps! #RockChalkhttps://t.co/NGsc5WKFrH

It seems fitting that Kansas football players would be playing basketball instead of football, considering a) the basketball team is the favorite to win the national championship, b) the football team went 0-12 last season and c) over the last five seasons, they went 2-43 in Big 12 play. The irony isn’t lost on fans:
@KU_Football @KUHoops maybe you should be practicing football? This is why KU football is so bad!
