It doesn’t really matter who shot this ball. Even the context of the shot doesn’t mean much. The only thing that matters is somehow, someway it didn’t fall. It teases us, looking like it’s going to drop. Then it looks like it will drop again. It even lingers on the edge of the rim for a moment like it could still go either way.

Eventually it falls off. And there was no better reaction than the coach on the bench who anguished as the ball finally rolled off the rim.
