Bubba Watson’s missed half court shot was more impressive than if he made it

Bubba Watson was given an attempt to make a half-court shot at an Orlando Magic game and instead, succeeded in doing the only thing better than making it: he wedgied it.
A wedgie, as coined by The Starters over at NBA TV, is when you stick the ball between the rim and the backboard. Wedgies rarely happen in games — for it to happen on a half-court attempt is unheard of. Bubba Watson would have better luck pinging a golf ball off a pin flag than doing this again.
So good job, Bubba. It’s not always what you set out to do, but what you accomplish.
