Cubs players and coaches shave their heads to raise money for pediatric cancer research

For the second year in a row, Joe Maddon and some Chicago Cubs players and coaches spent their Saturday afternoon getting their heads shaved. It’s all part of Maddon’s “Respect Bald” charity that goes toward supporting pediatric cancer research; fans who donated $100 also got their heads shaved alongside the players. It’s a lot like St. Baldrick’s Foundation, but with a baseball twist:

This was Anthony Rizzo’s second year shaving his head for a great cause -- our friends at Bleed Cubbie Blue got to shave their heads with him last year:

At one point, Maddon saw a man with long hair, and persuaded him to join in on the fun:

Also, Steve Wilkos of Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos Show fame stopped by; there’s a 100 percent chance he donated extra money in lieu of, uh, shaving his head with the team:
