The biggest athletes in the world team up to say goodbye to Kobe Bryant

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
The end of Kobe Bryant’s career is just days away. A farewell tour lasting a season will come to its culmination on April 13 when the Lakers host the Jazz in what’s being called “Mamba Day.” To celebrate the occasion, and Kobe’s career as a whole, Nike pulled from its considerable stable of athletes to talk about what Bryant’s career means to them.
The list is too long to name everyone, but it includes Neymar, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Elena Delle Donne, Richard Sherman and many, many more. It’s neat to see their perspective as athletes on a fellow competitor, or if you’re Federer acknowledging Kobe means discussing your personal emoji usage.
Whether you loved Kobe, hated him or used his name for emojis, one thing is certain: April 13 will be memorable.
