Michael B. Jordan’s ‘Benjamin Button’-inspired Kobe Bryant biopic should actually exist

A Kobe Bryant movie will probably happen one day, but not quite yet. A new ad for Apple TV imagines it being filmed right now -- and it’s one of the best commercials of the year. Kobe teams up with Michael B. Jordan to deliver a surprisingly hilarious performance.
The core of the ad is Kobe believing a movie is being made about his rise to prominence, while Jordan reveals to him that it will be about his retirement, too. To make matters worse, Kobe’s compared to Brad Pitt in Benjamin Button.
Kobe had a good sense of humor about it all, and this ad is really good. Now we just wonder whether Michael B. Jordan’s name had anything to do with his casting. Who would be a good choice to play Kobe in a movie about Kobe?
