A children’s mascot race ended in a photo finish between a dolphin and a chef

On Sunday, during a weekend filled with mascot tomfoolery, Children’s Trust held a mascot race at Wincanton Racecourse. The cast of characters ranged from your typical animals to the Jolly Green Giant to a chef. It didn’t go well for most of them as they were all confused and apparently didn’t hear the officials tell them to go. It went down to the wire between Dylan the Dolphin and the chef mascot, and -- not kidding -- it ended in a photo finish, with the finish line flying past where it’s supposed to be.

This is how close it was.

Congrats, Dylan the Dolphin. You’re officially faster than a cumbersome-looking chef. But also, shout out to the chef for hustling it to get to Dylan. Respect.
