Yankees’ Aaron Hicks makes a soaring catch despite crashing into the wall

First, that is a great catch by Aaron Hicks. The range, the athleticism, the lack of fear of crashing into the wall. It’s all very impressive. Hicks is turning into a daily highlight reel with this catch coming a day after he gunned down a runner with a 105.5 MPH throw from the outfield.

Second, kudos to that fan for doing everything he could to avoid interfering. It’s easy to reach out and try and catch foul ball. But this fan wasn’t going to get in the way of a great catch. Instead he did this.
