The Celtics won on Friday night, giving Boston its first win in its playoff series against the Hawks. Much of that win goes to Isaiah Thomas, who scored a career-high 42 points. After the game, he was told of other past Celtics players who also scored above 40 points in a playoff game. Even though he tried to keep a straight face, he couldn’t help but smile at the company he’s joined.

“Isaiah, I’m gonna read you a list. These are players that have scored 40 points in a playoff game for the Celtics. It’s Ray Allen, Larry Bird, John Havlicek, Sam Jones, Reggie Lewis, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Jo Jo White and Isaiah Thomas.”
It’s safe to say Thomas will do great things with the Celtics for years to come.
