One of the craziest run downs ended with the winning run scoring

Every single thing about these run downs is absolutely insane. Just when you think the out is secured, the players scramble even more. It’s like watching the beginning of a glorious race that you have no idea where it ends.

The general hysteria seems to die down when the runner slides into third. The third baseman is there and tags him, resulting in a big NOPE. The runner is still safe and even he is in disbelief as he immediately stumbles trying to sneak past everyone in the midst of the frustration. And somehow he still makes it home for the walk-off winner.

We still can’t figure it out. But while we do that, we need to enhance this ridiculous play with a little Benny Hill:
