Barack Obama ends his final correspondents’ dinner with ‘Obama out’

Barack Obama and the White House correspondents’ dinner have given us great moments throughout the past eight years, but his last one might be his most memorable.
Channeling Kobe Bryant and his “Mamba out” speech immediately after finishing up his last NBA game, the 44th president of the United States wrapped up his final correspondents’ dinner with some similar words:
“Obama out.”
He even topped it off with a mic drop. Obama definitely recognizes the sheer gravitas of Bryant’s goodbye from the game of basketball, so he did it himself. Kobe himself seemed to enjoy it.

Obama’s knowledge of recent basketball news wasn’t limited to just his clever finish. During the dinner, he managed to poke fun at Ted Cruz, who referred to a basketball hoop as a “basketball ring.”
Thanks for the moments, head politics man.
