Capitals winger briefly staves off elimination with unfathomable diving stick save in OT

There are great saves and then there is what Jay Beagle pulled off. First let's set the scene.
- The Capitals and Penguins were in overtime in Game 6. Washington trailed 3-2 in the series and needed a win to avoid elimination.
- Washington goalie Braden Holtby had lost his stick and was in extremely a precarious situation.
- Pittsburgh's Trevor Daley fired a puck that beat Holtby and was about to end the game.
The Capitals should have had their season end at that very moment. Except somehow, Beagle managed to dive and knock Daley’s shot out of mid air with his stick to keep it out of the net. To make it even more impressive, he also managed to avoid the puck with his feet while sliding and not knock it in.
It was an incredible play in a moment where Beagle either had to be superhuman and perfect or lose. The Penguins went on to win the game, but that save will still go down as one of the best of the season.
