MLB player casually scratches his head while a live ball is caught feet away

Maybe Adeiny Hechavarria is very confident in Martin Prado’s ability to field a popup. So much so that he stopped to admire Prado on this play. Not only did he let Prado take control, but he paused to scratch his head during the play. When you have an itch, you have an itch.

Or maybe Hechavarria took throwing shade to a whole new level. As the shortstop, Hechavarria has authority to call off anyone on a popup. But in this case Prado, the third baseman, took control. Hechavarria let him have the popup this time, but made sure to let everyone know it was such a curious decision he had to scratch his head.

This whole situation is a real head scratcher.
