An MMA fighter’s entourage featured Captain America, Spider-Man and Mickey Mouse
When entering the octagon, you probably already expect a certain level of stoicism to align with the acknowledgment that someone may very well get beat badly. It’s actually not as intimidating as it sounds given that the two competitors both understand this. But one fighter in particular strayed away from this formula in order to get into the head of his opponent.
Being tough wouldn’t work, so why not just confuse the hell out of your opponent? The easiest way to do this, of course is to bring out Captain America, Spider-Man and Mickey Mouse. At least that’s what 21-year-old Gabriel Macario did.
It worked for Floyd Mayweather in the boxing world, who once walked to the ring accompanied by the Burger King, yes that creepy plastic mascot. No one would see it coming.
For what it’s worth, Macario won his fight in about two minutes. Hopefully he is as good battling Disney lawyers as he is against opponents in the octagon.
