David Alaba turned and fired a pass into his empty net for an embarrassing own goal

David Alaba has probably played a pass back to a goalkeeper thousands of times during his life. This might just be his worst attempt at it.

Oops.

When pressure came, Alaba turned to send the ball back to his goalkeeper. No harm in that. Except he hadn’t noticed his goalkeeper, Ramazan Ozcan, had drifted along with Alaba to aid him. The end result is a very embarrassing own goal that Alaba essentially turned and fired into the middle of his own empty net.

On the plus side, at least the match was a friendly and at least Austria won 2-1 despite the miscue.
