Fan takes another fan’s beer while trying to get a foul ball
Something wonderful happened on Tuesday during the Twins-A’s game. Coco Crisp’s foul ball landed between the tarp and the stands, and two fans battled it out for the ball. One came away with the ball, the other with a cup of beer. Where did the beer come from? Here’s what happened:
1. Hat Guy and Sunglasses Guy both spotted the ball in the pit. Notice that Sunglasses Guy had beer in his left hand.
2. Both fans reached into the pit. Sunglasses Guy’s beer-holding hand was in on the action.
3. Now, Sunglasses Guy got the ball in his left hand, where a beer used to be, which means he dropped his beer ...
4. ... which gave Hat Guy an opportunity to take it, and Sunglasses Guy had no choice but to accept this accidental trade.
