MLB teams play a lot of games with a lot of different jerseys, and sometimes it gets confusing. Usually equipment managers are in charge of setting out jerseys, but on Wednesday, signals were crossed somewhere. This was the result.
Cardinals pitcher didn’t get the memo that Memorial Day jerseys were strictly for that day
whoops

It's okay, @TrevRosenthal. Those camouflage jerseys ARE pretty fantastic. https://t.co/pUjXDZFh9P pic.twitter.com/PlKEfoJrB1

Let’s take a closer look at Trevor Rosenthal’s mishap.
Yes, that’s the Memorial Day jersey, worn on -- get this -- Memorial Day. If it’s any consolation, the jersey is camouflaged, so maybe Rosenthal looking past it just means it’s working like intended.
Apparently, Rosenthal didn’t notice until Cardinals legend Jim Edmonds, now on the television crew, texted him about the mistake. No one on the Cardinals had mentioned it to him, although it’s very possible someone noticed and just decided to see how long it would go.
